AI Vehicle Type and Traffic Flow Recognition: Moving Annual Traffic Volume Surveys from Manual Counting to Automation
HITech's Vehicle Type / Traffic Flow / Road Condition Recognition uses AI image recognition to automatically count traffic across seven vehicle types, analyze intersection turning movements, and measure average speed in a given area. 72 hours of recorded video can be processed frame by frame in about 24 hours, helping contractors of annual government traffic volume surveys reduce manual counting. Its vehicle categories can also be mapped to those used in Taiwan's Highway Bureau traffic volume statistics.

Barrier-Free Parking Management System: One Space Now Recognizes Two Heavy Motorcycles Separately
HITech Heimdall Intelligent Technology continues to expand the recognition capability of its Barrier-Free Parking Management System with a new same-space multi-vehicle recognition feature. For properly configured parking spaces, the system can now separately recognize two heavy motorcycles parked within the same space, tracking each vehicle's license plate, parking status, and dwell time — giving sites more flexible ways to allocate space for heavy motorcycle parking.

Barrier vs No-Barrier Parking: Which HITech System Fits Your Site?
HITech offers three parking management solutions — Smart Parking Management, White List Access Control, and No-Barrier Parking Management — that deploy independently or combine to fit a site. This guide compares them across entry method, payment, hardware, and applicable sites, explains how barrier and no-barrier zones can be managed in one system, and recommends a fit for communities, office buildings, roadside/open-air lots, EV charging spaces, and enterprise/factory sites.

Smart Parking Management System: Barrier and No-Barrier Zones on One Platform, Multiple Records Settled at Once
HITech's Smart Parking Management System integrates ALPR, barrier gates, and payment kiosks under one backend, and can be extended with the No-Barrier Parking Management module to bring charging stalls, open-air lots, and gate-less spaces into the same fee-management platform. Drivers pay through one unified mechanism regardless of zone type, and a single vehicle's multiple entry/exit records are automatically merged into one settlement.

Taiwan Parking Uploader Goes Open Source: Source Code on GitHub for Governments and Operators to Audit
Following its free release, HITech has open-sourced Taiwan Parking Uploader, publishing the source code on GitHub under the Apache License 2.0. The tool makes no unnecessary network connections — no telemetry or phone-home — and connects only to the official municipal APIs the operator configures; credentials and logs stay on the local machine, and all outbound connections live in a single file — so anyone can review the code and confirm it does only what it is configured to do.
