# Construction Site Safety AI Smart Monitoring System: HITech Advances AI Vision R&D and Completes a Recognition Proof of Concept (POC)

> HITech is developing a Construction Site Safety AI Smart Monitoring System, exploring how AI image recognition can support occupational safety management on construction sites. The system is still in development and planning; its recognition of personal protective equipment such as hard hats and reflective vests has completed a proof of concept (POC), while work-area access control, real-time alerting, multi-site cloud management, and model customization remain in planning and development.

HITech is developing a Construction Site Safety AI Smart Monitoring System, exploring how AI image recognition can support occupational safety management on construction sites and help address the limitations of traditional manual patrols — limited patrol frequency, wide areas to cover, and the difficulty of continuously tracking whether protective equipment is worn. The system is still in development and planning, and its core personal protective equipment recognition capability has completed a proof of concept (POC).

The currently planned capabilities include:

(1) Personal protective equipment recognition: using AI image recognition to detect whether workers are wearing hard hats, reflective vests, and other personal protective equipment, helping managers keep track of PPE usage on site. This core recognition capability has completed a proof of concept (POC).

(2) Work-area access control: detecting personnel entering designated restricted areas, with plans to optionally combine identity recognition or existing access-control data — according to each site's needs — to help manage unauthorized-entry events.

(3) Real-time alerts and management integration: sending immediate alerts for detected anomalies, with planned support for centralized multi-site monitoring, cloud-based backend management, and visualized reporting, helping managers keep track of site status across locations.

(4) Model customization: adjusting and optimizing the model to each site's workflows, camera angles, environmental conditions, and worker attire, improving the system's adaptability to real work environments.

We hope that, in the future, AI image recognition will assist construction-site safety management by reducing the time and coverage limitations of manual patrols and helping managers more immediately grasp PPE compliance, personnel movement, and anomaly events on site.

The intended users include construction firms, engineering companies, and facility-management units that manage multiple sites, operate across regions, or need centralized management.

The Construction Site Safety AI Smart Monitoring System is one of HITech's R&D directions in AI image recognition and personnel safety monitoring, building on the company's existing foundation in smart image recognition. The system remains under active development and on-site validation; construction firms, engineering companies, and facility-management units with real construction-site safety recognition needs or an interest in collaboration are welcome to reach out to explore feasible applications of AI image recognition across different site environments.
